The retro Barstool 64 stool was created by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. The 64 bar stool is a reinterpretation of the classic E60 stool designed in 1933 by Alvar Aalto.
The idea behind the iconic stools is based on four long legs assembled with a round seat and a ring also used as a footrest. The secret lies in the unique curvature of the legs, which later became a distinctive feature of all Alvar Aalto furniture.
