Werther Toffoloni

Werther Toffoloni was born in Udine in 1930 and studied in Venice. He started teaching industrial planning right from the start and worked in various industries as a designer as well as an artistic consultant. With his activity as Studio tipi, he has been designing for leading Italian companies ever since.

The principal characteristic of all Werther Toffoloni’s design activities from the beginning of his career up till today has been to search for the ideal fusion between the aesthetic and design which keeps the production methodologies and the use and environment, towards which the product is destined, into account. This has been the only dominant ideal of his work since the beginning of his professional career clearly influenced by the theories of Bauhaus and the research of “gute forme” strongly underlined during his years of professional training.
