Linear, geometric, inspired by Japanese design for abstract graphics, Hill House integrates symbolic and figurative values. It is not just a chair, but also a treatise on spatial articulation with its high back with vertical lines in succession, culminating in a latticework: uprights and pegs with sections at the limit of the material’s resistance.
