Frank Lloyd Wright, supporter of the concept of “organic” architecture, that is based on the relationship between the individual, architectural space and nature, is one of the main exponents of the Modern movement in America. In 1959 the Guggenheim Museum in New York was last built. Wright becomes a designer “out of necessity”, or rather to furnish the buildings he himself designed and built, as happens with the armchair designed for the administrative offices of the Larkin Company, created in 1904. Among the most famous pieces of furniture is the chair Midway 2, in steel rod and fabric upholstery, from 1914, reissued by Cassina in 1986.
