Teatro chair, Molteni, designed by Aldo Rossi and Luca Meda, 1982. Frame in black lacquered wood with a glossy polyester finish. Seat and backrest padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in blue-grey fabric.

Designed by Aldo Rossi and Luca Meda for a small Milanese stage space conceived for the Alcantara company, but never built, the Teatro series is crafted from solid wood with generous cross-sections. The legs have a square cross-section, and the relationship between the backrest, seat, and supports is based on essential geometries. The backrest ends with a curl that serves as a crowning element.
